The LCMS Foundation is The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s primary organization that provides Lutheran donors with charitable expertise and opportunities to ensure that families are provided for and beloved ministries are supported.
The LCMS Foundation serves our Lord and our Church in several ways. We provide trained professionals to assist individuals and ministry congregations in practicing Biblical, Christ-centered stewardship. In today's world, deciding what ministries to support and how to bless your family through all God has given you can be a complicated process. This work is done through Gift Planning Counselors throughout the United States who spend their time Linking Christians With Giving Opportunities.
Secondly, the LCMS Foundation serves by managing financial instruments and the gifts they represent, entrusted to it by congregations, organizations and people like you. The staff of the LCMS Foundation is ready to work with you or your congregation or ministry treasurer personally to develop endowments and/or custodial accounts. As St. Paul tells us in his letter to Timothy:
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. (1 Timothy 6:17-19, NIV)
Our vision is to see a church where Christians demonstrate their love for Christ and His church, exercising their stewardship responsibilities by managing life and all life's resources to fulfill God's purposes, linked with and supporting the mission and ministry of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and its associated organizations. We rejoice in the partnership we have in this vision and the wonderful blessing God has given His church.
