Last month, a letter arrived at LCMS World Mission. It was hand printed on stationery that suggested a children's party invitation. We will say that it came from "Betsy." A first and last name appeared on the original, but it is best to protect the identity of a 10-year-old.
To whom it may concern,
I am Betsy and I am 10 years old. For my 10th birthday I received $20.
When I saw in the Reporter how missionaries are having to leave the mission fields because of lack of money I felt terrible. I thought...people elsewhere are dying and going to hell while I have money to spend any way I want.
I decided to give the money to you so that more people can come to faith in Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. May God bless you and this money.
